We believe that the safety and security of people visiting our campus is vital. To achieve the level of safety we desire, we must provide training to new volunteers and refresher trainings to existing volunteers on a consistent basis. By keeping our safety and security polices and procedures fresh in our minds, we will increase the chances of responding appropriately in an emergency. To do this, we will be updating our new volunteer and existing volunteer expectations, security policies and procedures. • NEW volunteers will be required to meet with a designated security volunteer for a detailed security training walkthrough. This training will need to be completed prior to beginning their service. • EXISTING volunteers are asked to attend a security refresher meeting once every twelve months. The church will provide four training opportunities annually, once per quarter. Volunteers will only need to attend one of these four sessions. Current volunteers will need to complete their security refresher training prior to December 2023.
