This summer, JC3 will be headed to Western Kentucky to share the love of Christ to an area devastated by the December 2021 tornado.
JC3 will be hosting a church-wide summer mission experience to Dawson Springs, Kentucky. Dawson Springs is approximately an hour away from Mayfield, Ky, seen on the national news when the tornado hit.
While this is a construction-based trip, CrossRoad Ministries will be accepting both skilled and general volunteers to serve. While experience is always desired, ALL who are willing to serve will be welcomed.
Rather this is "old hat" or this is your first mission experience there will be ways to serve for every skill level.
JC3 will be partnering with CrossRoads Missions to help serve Dawson Springs and the Western Kentucky Region.
CrossRoads Ministries has made a 3-year commitment to serve Western Kentucky and those affected by the devastating tornado. They are hiring staff, building infrastructure, and going to great lengths physically and financially to inspire and serve a hurting and devastated community.
This will be a construction-based mission experience. While there may be some additional outreach opportunities, the primary focus will be rebuilding, renovating, and debris clean-up.
CrossRoads Missions will be providing food and housing for the week.
Participants can expect "bunk bed" style sleeping arrangements with four people to a room. Our group will be staying in a converted Sunday School wing of a local Dawson Springs church.
Participants should expect and be willing to use outside shower trailers provided by CrossRoads Missions.
Due to the extremely generous sponsors through CrossRoads Ministries and an anonymous JC3 donor, the price for JC3 members is $55 for the entire trip!
If you and/or your family are interested in potentially serving on this mission opportunity, there will be an informational meeting held directly after church on May 29th.
