Let’s Celebrate Sunday!:Rescheduled for December 16th!

On December 16th, during our morning worship services, we will look back on how God has blessed JCCC during 2018, and we’ll look forward to what 2019 may hold. We will introduce our Elder and Deacon Leadership, report on ministries and share the vision for our future. There will be a time at the end of each service for our members to offer votes for our Elders, Deacons and 2019 proposed budget. Whether you are brand new to JCCC or a longtime member, let’s pack the house on December 16th for Let’s Celebrate Sunday.

“An Unexpected Christmas” Candlelight Services

We will be sharing this special Christmas message on three different occasions so that you may invite your friends and family to be a part of our candlelight services this season. The same service will be presented on Sunday, December 23 at 4pm and also on Monday, December 24 at 3pm and again at 5pm. Additionally, our worship leader, Stephanie Valentine, is looking for a group of 5-6 people for each service, dressed in festive Christmas sweaters to fill our stage with some joy at the beginning of each service! If you are interested in participating in a "caroling" segment during any or all of our 3 Christmas Eve services, please call or message her at 865.824.7057.

Volunteers for Bed Babies

We are looking for some volunteers to help rock babies during any of our Christmas Eve services. Please contact Melissa Ballinger at if you can help. Childcare is only provided for our bed baby class.

One Service on December 30

Sundays: If we can make the call before the weekend, we will include the information in Friday’s daily email. However, if we need to make a decision on a Saturday, then please check our website, for information regarding Sunday services (usually after 4pm). The main page of the website will scroll through announcements that you can click for information. If you ever have any questions regarding services, check the JC3 website or Facebook page.

Help Wanted! Listed below are a variety of areas of service/ministries where YOU can serve at JC3:

Technology Teams

The tech teams needed for Sundays are growing, and we would love for you to join in. If you or your teenage child would be interested (or you want to email this to someone you know would be interested), we’d love to talk! Teams that are growing are:

Lighting Team

A brand new system is installed, and we need someone dedicated to setting up our lighting presentation each week. We will also need a team to rotate responsibility for running the system on Sundays.

EasyWorship Team

EasyWorship is the software that runs our song lyrics, videos, graphics and sermon notes. The presentation is setup by JCCC staff during the week, but team members take turns running through the presentation each week for our services. We need three more members of this team.

Video Team

Do you have experience or interest in learning to edit videos, run our streaming camera or help create ministry highlights? The video team would love your participation.

If you are interested in any of the above teams, then please email Stephanie Valentine at

Building & Grounds Crew

If you are retired or have flexibility in your schedule and would be willing to help around JCCC with monthly maintenance and/or specific projects, please contact us.

Welcome & Security Team

We are needing folks who are willing to serve on Sunday mornings helping with things such as greeting, handing out bulletins, helping direct visitors to classrooms and also helping with our building security. If you are interested in serving in any of these areas, please sign up below.

Worship Ministry Needs!

  • Robin Casey’s mother, Lucy Tucker, passed away last week. Please remember Robin and her family in prayers.
  • Evan and Kaci Anderson have a very close friend that was diagnosed with colon cancer. He is in his 40s with a wife and two sons, one married and one in high school. This family was their rock when they went through the loss of Kaci’s mom, and even helped care for Abby during that time. They are a family of strong faith, but this has taken the breath out of them. Please pray for healing and strength for this family during this time.
  • Dean Earnest’s brother in law, Perry Walls, suffered what is believed to be a stroke and was recently hospitalized. He is not expected to recover and will probably be put on hospice care. Please be in prayer for Perry, his family and his caretakers during this difficult time.
  • We are saddened for the loss of a dear church member, Paul Irwin. We request your prayers for his wife, Mary, their children, Lesley and Greg, and the extended family. Family will receive friends from noon until 2 pm Monday, December 17, at JCCC. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm. Graveside interment service will be held following the service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
