We have a special day planned with lots of fun, even before you enter the doors. So, arrive for our 9:30am and 11am worship services a bit early, and plan on joining in a fun, meaningful occasion as we celebrate the day in history that changes everything!

Save the Date! On Thursday, May 16, we will be leaving the church at 8:30am and heading to Asheville, NC, for a scenic trolley tour. The cost of the trolley tour is $29 and you will also need money for lunch as well. Transportation will be provided on the church van for 14 folks. Please sign up today if you plan to attend and indicate if you need transportation.

“Spring Fling and Pretty Things”

The Women's Ministry will be hosting a Fashion Show and Festival of Tables on Friday, May 10th @ 6:30pm. The event includes a free dinner and a Fashion Show by Boutique 31.

We invite ladies to sign up to decorate a table using your favorite theme. (You don't have to decorate a table to attend the event). There are also links to online giving, your giving history, the photo directory, and a member directory (a little more information, but no picture.)

If you have not filled out the “online directory permission form,” you will not be included in either online directory. But don’t worry – you can still do that anytime! You can find them here (census form, image release, online permission form) OR you can fill them out at the Information Desk. Hearing-Assistance at JCCC!

Assistive Listening devices are available for those who need aid hearing the sermon. Please bring your own headphones/earbuds that have a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. Speak to our sound technician at the sound booth in the back of the sanctuary to check out a device.

KidsWay Looking for Volunteers

Our KidsWay department is looking for folks who would enjoy working with our kids ages 4-5 years during the 11am service time. If you have a heart to serve and would like more information on how you can volunteer, please contact Michelle Emmert (865)323.2669 or email

KidsWay Wednesday Night Classes

The evening schedule is as follows:

6:15pm– Arrive & check in

6:20pm– Dinner *see menu for the month below* is served & classes begin

6:20-7:30pm– Classes resume for nursery –5th grade

7:30-8:15pm– For the parents who are attending small groups, KidsWay will offer an “enrichment time” where kids can either attend a quiet time/movie room or a study hall to complete their homework. Parents– if you do not attend a small group, the pick up time for your child is 7:30pm.

KidsWay T-Shirts Available

Our KidsWay department has T-shirts available for purchase in the Welcome Area downstairs. There are multiple sizes available and the cost is $8 for 2XLs, $6 for all other sizes.


Dates for this year are June 2-6. Volunteer sign ups have begun!

VBS Need

Please bring your empty paper towel rolls for us to use during VBS. There will be a collection tub in the KidsWay welcome area.


Deeper Life

Our DL groups meet every Sunday morning at 9:30am in the Youth Loft.


Our Wednesday night programming for our youth group meets from 6:15-8:00pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. Dinner ($2/ person) is served at 6:15pm followed by worship and a service.

Our Small Groups meet in homes, restaurants and at the church. Different groups have different goals. Some study a book of the Bible while some gather to encourage each other during a particular season of life. Email if you are interested in joining or helping start a Small Group.

Technology Teams

The tech teams needed for Sundays are growing, and we would love for you to join in. If you or your teenage child would be interested (or you want to email this to someone you know would be interested), we’d love to talk! Teams that are growing are:

Lighting Team

A brand new system is installed, and we need someone dedicated to setting up our lighting presentation each week. We will also need a team to rotate responsibility for running the system on Sundays.

EasyWorship Team

EasyWorship is the software that runs our song lyrics, videos, graphics and sermon notes. The presentation is setup by JCCC staff during the week, but team members take turns running through the presentation each week for our services. We need three more members of this team.

Video Team

Do you have experience or interest in learning to edit videos, run our streaming camera or help create ministry highlights? The video team would love your participation.

Building & Grounds Crew

If you are retired or have flexibility in your schedule and would be willing to help around JCCC with monthly maintenance and/or specific projects, please contact us.

Welcome & Security Team

We are needing folks who are willing to serve on Sunday mornings helping with things such as greeting, handing out bulletins, helping direct visitors to classrooms and also helping with our building security. If you are interested in serving in any of these areas, please sign up below.

  • Carrie Paul asks that we please pray for Bridgette Moses. A tree fell on her in her backyard this weekend. She suffered 2 broken legs, 2 bones in her neck and 1 in her spine broken and bleeding on the left side of her brain. She is at UT and stable. Also, please pray for Lucy Aichele. She has a chest CT on Friday that came back abnormal. She will be seeing a pulmonologist soon.
  • Elizabeth Mounts asks if everyone will please lift John Thomas and family in your prayers. He has recently been diagnosed with cancer. All family and friends covet your prayers now and in the weeks following.
  • Prayers are requested regarding Mary Lyons looking for a new employment opportunity and God’s guidance. Thank you.
