JC3 University: 6:30pm Wednesdays at JC3 for ALL Ages
Meets in The Loft (above Gathering Place)
Oct. 11 - Nov. 15: Dave McNeely, Carson-Newman University. Topic: “How did we get our Bible?”
JC3 Adventure Group: Next Outing- Max Patch
The next adventure for this group is planned for Sunday, October 22 to Max Patch. Max Patch is a beautiful mountain bald just across the TN / NC border. There is parking nearby, and it only about a half-mile hike to the top along a path. Feel free to bring chairs and a picnic dinner. There is ample room to explore, throw a frisbee or football, and even hike around the top of the mountain. Sunset is 6:47pm, so if we arrived at 4:00pm, that would give us time to walk around a bit, relax, eat and enjoy the sunset. We would need to depart church at 2:30pm, which would give folks time to go home, eat and gather their supplies. To sign up for this event, please contact Greg Schloesser at firstname.lastname@example.org
“A Tale of Two Chilies”

Opportunities to Serve
Welcome Team for Wednesdays!
Due to the growth of our Wednesday nights, we are looking for a few friendly faces who might help us Welcome people and help them find their classes.
WHAT WILL I DO: Have your JC3 team lanyard on and be ready to greet from 6:10pm – 6:40pm. Know where the classes/ministries meet (we have a TV screen and a handout that will help you). Help people feel welcome! Sign up on your Connection Card or contact John at firstname.lastname@example.org to become a volunteer.
Serve with Sunday Lunches
If you are willing to serve on a Sunday lunch clean-up team, your team will work only three times a year for about 20-30minutes each time. The job is washing dishes and taking out some trash. It’s only three times per year because we’ll have three teams of four people (we take some months off from lunches). If you think you can help, then we’d love to have you on one of our lunch teams! Please reply to this email or talk to Monique Hewling at church!
Lighthouse Meals and/or Donations Needed
Lighthouse (our Wednesday night youth program) has officially started back and every year we provide dinner for all the youth who attend. We are in need or cooks OR monetary donations to help provide those meals. If you’re interested in cooking, please sign up on your Connection Card and we will contact you with more info. If you would like to help by making a donation, please make your check out to JCCC with “Lighthouse” in the memo. You may drop your check in a tithe box or the offering plate.
Operation Christmas Child
OCC item of the month for October is a letter and photo. Take a moment to write a letter to the child that will receive your box and maybe include a picture of you/your family. If you’re not sure what to write, there are coloring pages located on the Welcome Desk in the church lobby that you can pick up and fill out to include in a box.
Also note that we are still in need of other donations listed below. Please drop off donations in room 203 (located down the hall from the main office).
Soap, Washcloths, Pencils, Balls, Sharpeners, Erasers, Stuffed Animals, Cars, Pens, Colors, Crayons, Markers, Dry Paints, Rulers, Protractors, Compass, Dolls (we have enough for all the 2-4 girl boxes, but not all the 5-9s), Clothing/Shoes (mainly 2-4, less for 5-9, 10-14 in good shape)
