If you are interested in something that is more long-term, then you may want to check out our ongoing Sunday groups:

Agape: A traditional Sunday School group (11am in Room 209)

Small Groups

Our Small Groups meet in homes, restaurants and at the church. Different groups have different goals. Some study a book of the Bible while some gather to encourage each other during a particular season of life. Email if you are interested in joining or helping start a Small Group.

JC3 University

JC3 University began our Spring semester Wednesday, January 10th with a class from which we can all benefit: Apologetics.

Apologetics is defined as "the religious discipline of defending or attempting to prove the truth of religious doctrines through systematic argumentation and discourse." During this 5 week series, you will learn how to talk about God to those who do not believe. You will learn how to understand how to understand and refute objections many non-believers will pose, including:

  • If God is real, why is there so much pain and suffering?
  • Why do I need God? I have plenty of meaning without him.
  • Hasn't the Bible been disproved by evolution?
  • Isn't the Bible just a bunch of fairy tales and stories?
  • Can't we just make our own morality?
  • Join us and learn to be equipped to help others and strengthen your own faith at the same time.

Classes began Wednesday, January 10th at 6:30pm.

    Opportunities to Serve

    Are You Musically Inclined?

If you sing or play an instrument and you’re interested in serving with the JC3 worship team on Sunday mornings, we would love to have you! We’re looking to add a few consistent vocalists as well as any “substitute” instrumentalists - either for special occasions or in instances where our regular team members are unavailable. Please contact Stephanie at 865-824-7057 or OR plan to meet with her this week for more information on how to join in!

    KidsWay Looking for Volunteers

Our KidsWay department is looking for folks who would enjoy helping in ANY capacity (technology, security, teaching, etc.) If you have a heart to serve and would like more information on how you can volunteer, please contact Michelle Emmert (

    Food Pantry Donations

We serve many non-perishable items to members of our community as well as church family each month from our pantry, especially during the colder months of the year. If you would like to make donations, you may bring items to room 203 (near the front office) or you may make a monetary donation by writing a check to JCCC and mark “food pantry” in the memo line.

    Welcome Team for Wednesdays!

Due to the growth of our Wednesday nights, we are looking for a few friendly faces who might help us Welcome people and help them find their classes.

WHAT WILL I DO: Have your JC3 team lanyard on and be ready to greet from 6:10pm – 6:40pm. Know where the classes/ministries meet (we have a TV screen and a handout that will help you). Help people feel welcome! Sign up on your Connection Card or contact John at to become a volunteer.

    Serve with Sunday Lunches

If you are willing to serve on a Sunday lunch clean-up team, your team will work only three times a year for about 20-30minutes each time. The job is washing dishes and taking out some trash. It’s only three times per year because we’ll have three teams of four people (we take some months off from lunches). If you think you can help, then we’d love to have you on one of our lunch teams! Please reply to this email or talk to Monique Hewling at church!

    Help Wanted!

We are making plans to remodel our bathrooms located near the sanctuary and we need folks willing to strip wallpaper and repaint. If you can help with these jobs, please respond to this email and we will give you more details about the task.

  • Please pray for Brenda and Darwin Miller's son, Paul. He was admitted to Jefferson Memorial Hospital with pneumonia and later transferred to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga (that was the closest hospital with an available ICU bed.) He is now resting and stable.
  • Please be in prayer for Allen Willard, father of Aaron Willard. He is ill and has been admitted to the hospital for further testing.

  • Sign-Up for Anything!

    Launch Sign-Up Form

After launching the Sign-Up Form, you'll be able to choose an event/ministry from a list.
